Dr. Jonah Lazarus (May 2005)
Dr. Lazarus spent his working life in the Royal Hospital, Belfast. He is in the picture above in the Senior Class of 1933. He is a past pupil of St. Mary's, a Jewish man, an accomplished Irish speaker (and Hebrew, French and Italian) and lived in a nursing home on the Shankill Road! Dr. Lazarus died July 2009 aged 95 years.

Mr. Alf Murray
Alf was a school Principal. He was a famous Armagh county footballer, was a stalwart for Clan Éireann and later served as President of the GAA. He dedicated much of his time to the promotion of the Irish language through Conradh na Gaeilge and was awarded Grádam an Phiarsaigh.
