The NI Fire and Rescue Service spent two days at St. Mary’s working with the entire Year 10 year group. This was the final stage of the ‘Firestorm’ project which the pupils had been working on over the previous three weeks.

This project deals with issues such as fire safety, fire in the home, attacks on fire-fighters, hoax calls and arson. The final session was led by fire-fighters form Springfield Road fire station. The pupils showed great interest throughout their project and enjoyed the fire-fighter visit. Well done to all the pupils and their form-teachers.
