The 11th May saw the launch of Dr Aidan Donaldson’s latest publication: ‘Encountering God in the Margins. Reflections of a Justice Volunteer’. Dr Donaldson is the school’s Assistant Head of Religious Education and Chaplain and his previous work has seen him lecturing at Queen’s University, Belfast. This extremely personal and provocative book takes the reader into the world of the marginalised, allowing their story to be told through the author’s own experiences. The book bears testament to the altruism and strength of human nature and challenges the reader to re-evaluate their own perspectives on many contemporary moral issues ranging from the AIDS epidemic to the shallowness of our ‘normal’ world. The book is published by Veritas.
